wow those old buildings, with interesting balconies, with plants in them too!
Ershad Bhai,it'll be greatly appreciated if you get a chance sometime to take pictures of the Art Institute near Shahbagh ( I think it was behind the Sakura Plaza) we used to take the Rickshaw sometimes and sometimes walk from 10, Minto Rd to the Art Institute in the early 60's.At that time it used to have a lovely garden in the front. Thanks
Shireen, you can get pics of Art Institute posted on 14 Apr 07 "Happy Bengali New Year 1414..". Great many pics were shot inside that institue campus. http://dhakadailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/04/bengali-new-year-1414-ramna-fair.html The front view of the Institute will be posted soon. Thanks.
couldn't help a wide smile all through! Reminded me of bus rides in Calcutta during the morning 'office time'..you just need to hop onto any bus inching towards Dalhousie Square- the office para.gloss over the dhakayya accent and you could not tell which side of the border the farce was happening!! the very same flared tempers..the very same self righteous women..the very same conjoint yelling..the very same conductor playing the referee
