Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, well known as city of fine muslin, mosques and rickshaws has a fairly long history of evolution. Before it rose into prominence as Mughal capital of Bengal in 17th century and urban & commercial centre, it was under the Sultanates from 14 century. It came under British control in 1757. Dhaka with passage of time testify different faces of history. Photographs and digital archives are the most effective ways that can keep visual records of its colourful history.
It's been less than a year since I have come to Montreal here in Canada..and I AM going back in about two months..but I missed the city so much that I had to google for recent pictures of Dhaka...which is what led me here. My heartiest best wishes for you. Would it be possible to snap a few if you are around Banani? :P
You have done a wonderful job of capturing pictures of Dhaka. Would it be possible to add in some of the tourist attraction areas of Dhaka as well? Also, if possible in include pictures of the various Hotels and guest houses and their respective locations along with our Airports and Railway/Bus stations. This will help foreign investors understand what they can look forward to when they visit Dhaka.
I would also like to request if possible to include pictures from other cities and their land mark icons.
Again, thank you very much for this great service. I eagerly look forward to more of your pictures.
